David Turner

David Turner, PLS, a managing member of Turner Land Surveying, PLLC, has performed land surveying and project management for over fifteen years. He began his surveying career as a rodman in Asheville, North Carolina on his father’s surveying field crew. Mr. Turner has held positions of increasing responsibility culminating with his licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor in North Carolina in 2005 and Kentucky in 2010. He was co-founder of Turner Land Surveying, PLLC in January 2009 with his wife and business partner. Mr. Turner has strong experience supporting civil engineering, environmental design, land development, cadastral mapping, construction, and property conveyance projects through land surveying. He has a proven record of successful large project management and supervision of complex surveys in both the public and private sector. Mr.Turner’s surveying experience includes boundary surveys, ALTA/ACSM land title surveys, recombination/subdivisions, construction stakeouts, topographic surveys, as-built surveys, reference reach surveys, wetlands location surveys, and municipal surveys. Mr. Turner also has significant experience in project oversight and on-site construction supervision for civil and environmental restoration projects. He is adept at both conventional and GPS survey methodologies and is experienced in the use of a wide variety of data collection and drafting software as well as field equipment. Turner Land Surveying currently uses Carlson 2011 drafting software on the Intellicad platform and TDS Survey-Pro for data collection. Mr. Turner attended the University of Kentucky where he studied chem/bio and anthropology with an emphasis in archaeology. He is a member of the North Carolina Society of Surveyors, an alumnus of the University of Kentucky chapter of Farm House fraternity, and a former U.S Army Ranger.

Luke Stagg

A graduate of Michigan State University in 2021, Luke moved to Asheville in January 2022 to pursue a career in environmental design. Now at Turner Land Surveying Luke assists field personnel in their use of total stations and GPS. In addition Luke is training in Carlson Survey 2019. Always a lover of the outdoors Luke enjoys being in nature as part of his job and has a passion for restoring waterways. Luke finds this work to be meaningful and rewarding.
