Turner Land Surveying, PLLC is dedicated to providing our clients with accurate, cost effective, and comprehensive land surveying services, tailored to each individualized construction endeavor. Elisabeth Turner

Elisabeth G. Turner, PLS, CFS, the majority managing member of Turner Land Surveying, PLLC, has performed land surveying and project management for over twelve years. She began her surveying career as a rodwoman and instrument operator in Asheville, North Carolina. Mrs. Turner has held surveying positions of increasing responsibility culminating with her licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor in North Carolina in 2003. She was licensed as a Certified Floodplain Surveyor in 2007. She was co-founder of Turner Land Surveying, PLLC in January 2009 with her husband and business partner.

Mrs. Turner has strong experience in subdivision design and platting, roadway surveying, engineering and environmental design support, land conveyance, construction layout, digital terrain modeling, boundary computations, and cadastral mapping. She is experienced in the use of automated field data collection equipment and software including: Topcon/Nikon total stations, and TDS platform data collectors, Carlson Survey, AutoCAD Land Development, Survey Link, and TDS Survey Pro. Mrs. Turner's over ten years of surveying experience include multiple boundaries, ALTA/ACSM land title surveys, recombination/subdivisions, construction stakeouts, topographic surveys, record surveys, reference reach surveys, wetlands location surveys, digital terrain models, and LOMA/LOMR-F submittals.

Mrs. Turner also has significant experience in project management/oversight and construction supervision for environmental restoration and remediation projects. Mrs. Turner received her Associate Degree in Surveying Technology from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College in 2001. She is a registered notary public and a member of the North Carolina Society of Surveyors.

David Turner

David Turner, PLS, a managing member of Turner Land Surveying, PLLC, has performed land surveying and project management for over fifteen years. He began his surveying career as a rodman in Asheville, North Carolina on his father's surveying field crew. Mr. Turner has held positions of increasing responsibility culminating with his licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor in North Carolina in 2005 and Kentucky in 2010. He was co-founder of Turner Land Surveying, PLLC in January 2009 with his wife and business partner. Mr. Turner has strong experience supporting civil engineering, environmental design, land development, cadastral mapping, construction, and property conveyance projects through land surveying. He has a proven record of successful large project management and supervision of complex surveys in both the public and private sector. Mr.Turner's surveying experience includes boundary surveys, ALTA/ACSM land title surveys, recombination/subdivisions, construction stakeouts, topographic surveys, as-built surveys, reference reach surveys, wetlands location surveys, and municipal surveys. Mr. Turner also has significant experience in project oversight and on-site construction supervision for civil and environmental restoration projects. He is adept at both conventional and GPS survey methodologies and is experienced in the use of a wide variety of data collection and drafting software as well as field equipment. Turner Land Surveying currently uses Carlson 2011 drafting software on the Intellicad platform and TDS Survey-Pro for data collection. Mr. Turner attended the University of Kentucky where he studied chem/bio and anthropology with an emphasis in archaeology. He is a member of the North Carolina Society of Surveyors, an alumnus of the University of Kentucky chapter of Farm House fraternity, and a former U.S Army Ranger.

 

Hans Kelly

Hans has been involved in numerous projects where he uses a GPS and total station to collect data points for the production of our topographic and planimetric maps. Hans found a passion for the outdoors in his youth beginning with joining The Boy scouts of America where he worked his way all the way up to the rank of Eagle Scout. Hans is a graduate of The University of North Georgia, receiving his BBA in Business Management and Administration in May of 2018. After graduating, Hans took a turn in the direction of his career path where he decided to work in the outdoors. He joined the Idaho Conservation Corps for three months before returning back to Georgia where he picked up working with Moreland Altobelli, which is now known as Atlas Technical Consultants. Prior to joining Turner Land Surveying in May of 2020, Hans gained experience surveying stormwater structures. Hans takes pride in his job as a Survey Technician where he enjoys doing meaningful work to restore streams and wetland habitats across the beautiful state of North Carolina.


 

 

 

Park Greer

Park Greer works as a Survey Technician to collect data points that are later used in the creation of detailed drawings, or plats, of a project site’s features such as stream channels, buildings, roads, and trees. Park graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s of science in Outdoor Recreation & Park Management. After obtaining his degree, Park worked with Tennessee State Parks as a Park Ranger. During his time working as a ranger, Park gained valuable outdoor skills and knowledge that have helped him to succeed as a Survey Technician. From the Appalachian Mountains to the coastal plains, Park has played an important role in construction projects across the state of North Carolina.

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

Katie Gray

In the office, Katie uses AutoCAD to assist with drafting for our construction layouts and detailed topographic drawings. Katie also manages our social media where she creates original content to engage with our audience and clients. A graduate of Kennesaw State University, Katie began her career in land stewardship by working as a Seasonal Interpretive Ranger for Tennessee State Parks. Through caring for our wild places, Katie developed an appreciation for conservation and our natural resources. Katie finds daily inspiration in Turner Land Surveying’s mission of improving streams and wetlands across the state of North Carolina and she is thrilled to be a part of the team that makes it happen!
